The Witzig Band

Nicole Witzig is a 42 year old music teacher and soul singer. Half Swiss and half Jamaican she has been singing on stage since she was 12 years old.

In addition to her daily work as a music primary school teacher, choir director and singing teacher, Nicole has accompanied many weddings and given her own concerts. Company events, birthday parties, baptisms and funerals are also part of her profession.

Today Nicole works on her engagements with her new band "The Witzig Band".

First musical attempts at the age of 9 on the recorder and the piano.
At 16 I discovered the guitar, which then determined my future. After a short time I played concerts with my school band. I played in different bands, as well as recordings, like with bands: Maxine, Tom Kelly Band and Eve Gallagher Band. Now the time was ripe to continue my musical education at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, Conservatory in Zurich and the Zhdk. After that followed again bands like: Thomas Kull Band, Maze and Bluesair (various CD and studio recordings).

Currently I play in The Witzig Band, with Meandtherest (CD and Videos) and work at two cantonal music schools as a guitar and ukulele teacher.

Stefano Neri, born in La Spezia (Italy) in 1959, lives in Zurich.

Has been a professional bass player, arranger, composer and producer for 40 years. Tours as bassist with "Shivananda", Van Straaten, Hary Hepp, Linard Bardill, Pippo Pollina, "Dodo Hug" and others. As a studio bassist for various artists such as "Yello", Max Lässer, Linard Bardill and others.

Various theater productions such as B. “Whoever dies last” with César Keizer and Heinz Bühlmann.
